Ahead of the MCD elections 2017, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari had claimed that if the Bhartiya Janata Party comes to power in Delhi then, power tariffs will be reduce by 30 per cent. “I assure the people that if we come to power, we will reduce power tariff by 30 per cent for all with no conditions,” Tiwari was quoted as saying.
Tiwari’s promise came in an interview with the Indian Express. As per the report, while speaking on the list of star campaigners, he said that the list has been prepared. He also informed that the senior party leaders will conduct public meetings in the last leg of the campaign, which will most probably begin from April 17.
Sharing his views on BJP’s recent win in the Rajouri Garden bypolls, Tiwari thanked the people for their support and love. Reacting to Aam Aadmi Party’s claim that they lost in the bypolls because the areas MLA, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia left Delhi for Punjab, Tiwari told Indian Express, that if this is the case then, the people will punish CM Arvind Kejriwal for leaving Delhi.
Rejecting the claims made by the Congress that it has fared better in this election, Tiwari told the Indian Express that it seems, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ajay Maken has forgotten how the Congress performed in ward number 154 where he lives. Hardening the attack further, he claimed that even AAP managed more votes than the Congress.
